Choose the Right Session
Signature Talk
Why Capable Groups Get Stuck
Great teams can have talented people, sound ideas, and genuine commitment and still lose momentum. Decisions drag on, the same conversations repeat, priorities accumulate, and activity does not always produce progress.
This talk introduces a straightforward way to understand why that happens. Participants learn to recognize recurring organizational patterns, examine what those patterns are producing, and consider practical ways to interrupt them.
This is not a promise of a quick fix. It is a clearer way to see what may be happening and ask better questions about what needs to change.
Ideal for:
- Conferences
- Leadership retreats
- Association meetings
- Nonprofit events
- Executive gatherings
What participants take away:
- A new way to recognize why capable groups get stuck
- A practical framework for spotting recurring organizational patterns
- Better questions for approaching difficult decisions and conversations
- Ideas they can apply immediately with their own teams
Format: Available in person or virtually.
Duration: 45–90 minutes (including Q&A)
Fees: Customized proposal based on the event
Signature Workshop
RECOGNIZING AND INTERRUPTING THE PATTERNS
In this interactive workshop, participants apply the framework to a real issue or challenge from their own work.
Together, we examine what is happening beneath the surface, identify the patterns that may be shaping the situation, consider their consequences, and develop practical ways to respond differently.
The workshop is grounded in the participants’ actual work rather than a generic case study, making the conversation relevant and immediately useful.
Ideal for:
- Leadership teams
- Boards
- Department meetings
- Strategic planning retreats
- Cross-functional teams
- Nonprofit organizations
What participants take away:
- Greater clarity about a current challenge or decision
- A shared understanding of what's slowing progress
- A practical way to recognize similar patterns in the future
- Concrete next steps the team can act on immediately
Format: Available in person or virtually.
Duration: 90-minute introductory session, half-day, or full-day
Fees: Customized proposal based on scope
Strategic Facilitation
GETTING TO THE HEART OF THE ISSUE
Some situations require more than a talk or workshop. A leadership team may be facing an important decision. Priorities may be pulling in different directions. A transition may have exposed disagreements that have not been fully addressed. Or a long-running initiative may have lost momentum.
In these situations, I work with the organization to understand what is really happening and design the right process for addressing it. Depending on the need, the engagement may include confidential interviews, session design, facilitated conversations, decision support, and follow-through.
The process is tailored to the situation. It is not an off-the-shelf program, and it does not add unnecessary complexity to work that is already difficult.
Appropriate for:
- Important decisions that have not been resolved
- Competing organizational priorities
- Leadership or organizational transitions
- Cross-functional challenges
- Strategic planning and implementation
- Difficult conversations requiring a skilled outside facilitator
The engagement can provide:
- A clearer understanding of the underlying issue
- A process in which different perspectives can be heard
- Greater clarity about decisions, priorities, and ownership
- Practical next steps grounded in the organization’s situation
- Follow-through where the work requires more than one conversation
Format: Designed around the organization’s needs
Duration: From a focused half-day session to a multi-session engagement
Fees: Customized proposal based on scope
